Conveyancing

Conveyancing is the preparing of documents required for the transfer of property and registration of mortgage bonds. Services provided include the transfer of property, registration of mortgage bonds, mortgage cancellations, acting as agent for lodgement in the deeds office.

Estate Planning

The process of anticipating and arranging, during a person's life, for the management and disposal of that person's estate in the event the person becomes incapacitated or deceased. This includes the drafting of wills and registration of trusts.

Property Law

Property law regulates the rights of individuals over certain movable and immovable property. It is concerned with a person's ability to undertake certain actions with certain kinds of objects in accordance with South African law. Property law includes spoliation applications, unjustified enrichment, and neighbour law and evictions.

Law of Contract

Contract law provides a legal framework within which persons can transact business and exchange resources, secure in the knowledge that the law will uphold their agreements and, if necessary, enforce them. Law of Contract includes rental agreements, commercial agreements, concession agreements and partnership agreements.

Sale of a Business

Sale of a business as a going concern, is where a business is sold and can essentially operate as a business in its own right.

Civil Litigation

Civil litigation is the process in which civil matters are resolved in a court of law. It involves disputes between people or businesses over money or some injury to personal rights. Matters are heard in the High Court, Magistrate’s Court, and other legal forums which deal with civil matter. Services include motor vehicle accidents, claims for damages, breach of contract, evictions, etc.

Collections

Debt Collections on behalf of credit providers, home owners associations, body corporates and other debt collections.

Family Law

Family law is the branch of law that deals with matters relating to the family. Matters included hereunder are, among others, divorce, contact rights with regards to minor children, and maintenance matters.

Commercial Law

Commercial law is a body of law that regulates the conduct of persons, suppliers, and businesses who are engaged in trade, sales, and commerce. Also known as business law it is a branch of civil law that includes principal and agency agreements, negotiable instruments, and registration of various companies.

Criminal Law

Criminal law is a body of law which deals with criminal offenses, regulates the apprehension, charging, and trial of suspected persons, and fixes penalties and modes of treatment applicable to convicted offenders. Criminal law includes bail applications, criminal trials, expungement of records etc.

Labour Law

Labour law regulates the relationship between employers, employees and trade unions. Labour law includes but are not limited to, arbitration, mediation, and unfair dismissals.

Sequestration and Liquidation

Sequestration: the action of taking legal possession of assets until debt has been paid or other claims have been met. Liquidation: the termination of a business operation by using its assets to discharge its liabilities.
